Creatures Of The Night

Pete Cornelius & The DeVilles

Ok, hope your sitting down and strapped in because this high octane power trio ain't hanging around for no-one. Please let me introduce Pete Cornelius and The DeVilles. This CD is (mostly) original, modern blues and pure rock & roll. At 21, Pete demonstrates incredibly mature vocal prowess, which helps make him a very brilliant blues star. The song writing and Pete's stunning guitar send this CD readily into the category of best blues rock music.

Live At The Lakes

Pete Cornelius & The DeVilles

Recorded at the Miena Shearing Shed up at Great Lake in the middle of Tassie. This has all the songs & guitar licks that have made Pete & the DeVilles one of Australia's premier blues bands. Also to make this special, the band is the 'original' DeVilles - Bruce Cornelius on drums & 'Uncle' Phil Wilson on Bass. Live at the Lakes is just a great fun album with excellent music that reminds you why you love blues, especially when it is played live!

Live @ Narooma

Pete Cornelius & The DeVilles

Recorded in 1999, this CD shows why 15 year old (at the time) Pete Cornelius was considered by many to be one of the best blues guitarists to emerge in recent times. Handling all guitar work and vocals, it is easy to understand why Pete had such praise heaped upon him, at such a young age. The DeVilles also include Phil Wilson on bass and Bruce Cornelius playing the drums (and adding some vocals). Pete Cornelius and The DeVilles have since become one of the hardest working blues bands in the area. Their shows are charged with energy that saturates the crowd and pulls them into the DeVille experience. Definitely, one of the stronger live discs.

Gonna' Burn

Pete Cornelius

The first acoustic blues album from Pete (in fact, he plays all of the instruments and produced) is worth a listen! When Pete transforms his guitar magic to the acoustic realm, things really begin to happen. Sometimes, it's hard to imagine how so much can be delivered from the strings and fingers of this man. Just a bit less than half of these numbers are originals, while the balance are nicely done renditions of songs by folks such as the Jimmie Vaughan and Tom Waits (to mention a few).

Gotta' Live

Pete Cornelius & The DeVilles

Once in a decade or so, a young artist comes along who displays amazing maturity and capability. This is a case of a kid down on the farm, in the middle of nowhere, with nothing to do but perfect a nail-drivin' blues rock style. Pete's guitar playing will blow you away and his singing will put a chill down your spine. Guitar, bass, drums along with some piano and baritone comprise the DeVilles "No-Holds-Barred" sound. Not a lot of frills, just solid grooves forming one hell of a tight unit. Make no mistake, this CD rocks it's way through the blues. Nice collection of covers (cool "Riders On The Storm") and originals. Just a good-rockin' party.
